Our JeffCo chapter hosts retired as Denver7 Chief Meteorologist Mike Nelson for a free Speaker Series event on Thursday, September 25th from 7-9 PM at the Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden, Colorado.Mike was one of the few weathermen courageous enough to insist that we must face the reality of climate change. He will speak about the enormous prospects for a Great American Super-Grid, capable of supplying the entire nation with ample, clean electricity. A high voltage underground transmission system would create a lot of jobs, improve reliability, address our growing power demand, and yield a tremendous return on investment, while simultaneously working towards urgent climate goals.
This event is organized by the Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES) and New Energy Colorado (NECO) as part of the 2025 Metro Denver Green Homes Tour Speaker Series.
