The Richardson Community Band is hitting the road in the New Year! Well…musically, at least, and this road trip is FREE!! This concert takes us on a journey from the East Coast across the country to Texas, celebrating the incredible variety of music that comes from the United States. There’s so much great American music that this is just the first leg of our trip—next season, we’ll continue the adventure from the West Coast back to Texas.
Along the way, we’ll feature David Alley, aka the RCB’s Willie Nelson, singing “On the Road Again,” plus “A Road Less Traveled” by RCB composer and clarinetist Jim Marshall. You’ll also hear classics like John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,”“Oklahoma!” and “Gonna Fly Now” from the movie Rocky. All specifically selected to spark a little wanderlust and a lot of pride in our great land.
So hop on board and travel with us—RCB style! Like all of our concerts, admission is free, but you’ll need to get tickets through the Eisemann Website!
