As psychedelics become increasingly popular, having safe and accurate information is more important than ever. In this comprehensive harm reduction workshop, we will be exploring the safe and informed use of recreational psilocybin. Designed for individuals curious about or experienced with psilocybin, this workshop provides essential knowledge and practical strategies to minimize risks and maximize benefits.
Participants will learn about the pharmacology of psilocybin and it's history, and the importance of set and setting in shaping experiences. The workshop will cover potential risks, contraindications, and how to recognize and respond to challenging experiences and adverse reactions. Emphasis will be placed on the psychodynamic concept of ego resiliency in the psychedelic experience.
In addition to information-rich lecture, students are invited to participate in activities to explore their ego defenses, take inventory of their regulating skills, and understand their sensory profile.

What To Bring:
Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle, notebook or other way of taking notes, and anything else that may help you be super comfortable (pillow, blanket, sensory toys). This workshop is a long one, but will have a few activities and breaks. We will also be serving some snacks midway through the workshop, but students are encouraged to bring their own as well.
