What’s special about eucalypts? Do we understand their place in our landscape? Join writer Sophie Cunningham (City of Trees) and furniture maker Damien Wright (Wright Studios) for a discussion about wood in history, now and for the future.
Sophie will tell us about her research into Russell Grimwade, one of the men behind the eucalyptus oil industry and author of the 1920 book, An Anthography of the Eucalypts. Damien will show us one of his latest creations, using foraged timber, and there will be works by local artists on show as well as produce stalls and people from the Loddon Landcare and Friends of Kooyoora groups.
