🛶 A sparkling, tuneful operetta, Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers follows the adventures of two Venetian gondoliers and their sweethearts. One of them may be the Prince of Barataria, and a princess has shown up to claim her promised husband. Will the true prince be revealed? Will he have to marry the princess instead of his sweetheart? Find out in this satirical comic opera.
Marco and Giuseppe are just a workaday pair of brothers, plying the sunny canals of Venice, until the secret breaks: one of them is a long-missing prince! Which one? The King has died, and it's time to assume the throne. The brothers will just have to reign jointly while the courtiers finish sorting this out. Their new wives won't mind waiting for them, surely?
With effervescent music and irrepressible fun, The Gondoliers will take you on a wild romp through the Old World's halls of power.
