That mission statement might suggest musical chaos, but when it came to the writing and recording of their second album, BUNG IT ON!, Maitland NSW band The Golden Gaytimes (feat. members of Muzzy Pep, Faker) knew exactly what they were doing. They surrendered to their madcap muse, with no pandering to trends or the thought of being part of a scene. They followed their instincts, unfurled their freak flags, and continued what they'd started with Hot As Buggery— combining a new wave guitar pop aesthetic with disco, glam, and energetic garage rock.
Endless hooks and witty wordplay pepper their honest assessment of modern life across the album's 11 songs.
