About this Event
This follow up to our initial Photographic Composition workshop will delve a little deeper into the role that light plays in creating a striking image.
Part of the Wellbeing Through Heritage project in West Fife.
What will we do?
We will spend the first 40 minutes of the session [hopefully inside the glasshouse] introducing and discussing the importance of light and shadow in your images and identifying how to use light to your advantage when composing your frames. We will review and critique some sample images while contemplating implications for our own personal photography journey.
Following this you will choose from some pre-selected photo assignments and we will then go out with the cameras to explore the park, putting into practice some of the ideas we have been discussing.
Who is it for?
No matter if you are just starting out in photography, a keen amateur or a professional photographer, this workshop will have something for you, whether that's learning something new, freshening up your skills or having a chance to share some knowledge.
What do I need to bring/know?
You don't need to have any camera gear or previous knowledge to benefit from this workshop. We will have cameras available if you would like to try using a mirrorless system camera, however using a smartphone or point and shoot works just as well when learning about light and exposure.
If you book places but then can't attend, please let us know by cancelling your ticket on Eventbrite, or by emailing [email protected] or phoning 01592 656080. Nearer the event we will email all participants with details of the meeting place.
If you cancel your tickets, which have an associated payment/donation, you will be responsible for paying the Eventbrite administration fee.
