About this Event
Get ready for a night of laughter, fun, and a whole lot of therapy – comedy therapy, that is!
On April 24, Joel Bryant and Richard Rennie will bring their one-of-a-kind, interactive comedy show, "The Gay/Straight Comedy/Therapy Show", to La Pomme d'Eve in Paris. This hilarious, candid, and sometimes surprisingly deep show will have you in stitches while also getting you to rethink relationships, sexuality, and everything in between!
Joel Bryant is from Los Angeles but has headlined internationally from New York to Berlin to Bangkok. He emceed the last 9 Super Bowls, just did a comedy set in Antarctica and has lived a life. Perfect for advice - giving or receiving! With a career that spans stand-up, TV, theatre and film, Joel is a master at turning everyday experiences into comedic gold.
Meanwhile, Richard Rennie, from Scotland, has called Paris home for a while and started his standup career in the City of Lights. He's moved swiftly up the ranks, recently emceeing Don't Tell Comedy's 1-year anniversary at the Apollo in Paris. Richard’s insightful humor, mixed with a touch of sass and charm, makes every show feel like an entertaining conversation with your best friend… if your best friend was really, really funny.
What makes this show truly unique? It's not just a performance—it's an experience! In this interactive comedy show, Joel and Richard invite the audience to join in the fun. Through humorous (and sometimes surprisingly insightful) comedic sets then “therapy sessions,” the comedians explore the differences and similarities between the gay and straight perspectives. Expect witty banter, hilarious personal stories, and plenty of opportunities for you to chime in with your own thoughts and experiences.
This isn’t your typical stand-up show—this is a comedy therapy session where everyone leaves feeling a little lighter and a lot more connected. Plus, the setting at La Pomme d'Eve, with its cozy, intimate atmosphere, makes this the perfect venue to get up close and personal with these two masters of comedy.
It's free to get in and pay what you can to get out!
