Howard Thurman once said, “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”This semester, Stetson Wesley is continuing our Come Alive series at the Gathering Worship Service, where we’re exploring how God meets us through the passions that bring us joy and energy. What does it mean to live fully alive—and how can even the arts, hobbies, and everyday passions become sacred?
This week, our pastoral resident Camryn Shepard, a ministry candidate at Candler School of Theology, will share about how musical theatre has been a place of grace, transformation, and community in her own faith journey. Together, we will reflect on how God shows up in unexpected places, and how offering our passions back to God becomes an act of worship.
Alongside this conversation, we’ll gather in our traditional liturgy with worship music led by Ryan Ganaban and the team. And yes—there will even be a theater-inspired interactive moment you won’t want to miss.
As always, join us at 6:00 pm for free dinner and community before worship begins. We’ll see you at Wesley House!
