About this Event
We live in a time when there are too many churches—thousands of them in the DFW area alone, most of which are claiming to be the one you should call home. Yet precious few actually resemble the church we read about in the New Testament.
We often hear preachers say, “It’s not about the building or the music,” but their actions tell another story. Today, many churches have traded their biblical purpose for production value, becoming businesses that look more like entertainment venues or country clubs.
But Jesus’s ministry didn’t look like that.
The early church didn’t look like that.
So what happened?
That’s a complex question with many answers, but one truth remains:
If we want to experience what the early church experienced, we must do what they did!
They gathered publicly.
They prayed.
They fellowshipped.
They shared all things in common.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching.
...and then God moved mightily among them.
Believers were saved, delivered from demons, and healed from sicknesses and diseases.
They didn’t have buildings, sound systems, or comforts. They met outside. They gave up convenience because they saw something greater:
They saw God.
And we can see God, too!
