The Gathering

The Gathering is a transformative four-week experience designed to guide you through self-exploration of your unique gifts and cultivate a deeper connection with yourself. Through mindful practices, creative art and community sharing, you will embark on a journey of discovery, identifying what you need to guide you into your next phase of life.

You are invited to collect the gifts you’ve been nurturing all the while you have focused on caring for others. You have fulfilled many roles: mother, partner, professional, caregiver, and the organizer of endless tasks. Lately, though, a deeper sense is stirring — A gentle nudge from your creative inner voice that asks: Who am I becoming now? Where do I go from here? What happens next? Am I ready?

This course will incorporate a variety of methods to help us learn, grow, and develop.

• Mindfulness practice
• Meditation exercises
• Reading (essays, poems)
• Group discussion
• Junk Journaling and other creative art practices.

Learn to use junk journaling as a technique to learn, grow, and gather what you need to move into the next phase of your life.

Junk journaling is a creative, low-cost journaling practice that uses ephemera (small keepsakes or found items) like fabric scraps, ticket stubs, envelopes, magazine clippings, receipts, labels, postcards, and stickers to assemble a handmade journal.

Key features of a Junk Journal:

• Materials: repurposed papers and small objects rather than new, uniform stationery.
• Format: loose, eclectic pages bound together (stitched, stapled, tied, or inserted into a junk journal base).
• Style: collage-driven, layered, textured, and often intentionally imperfect.
• Purpose: creative expression, memory-keeping, mindfulness, idea-gathering, processing emotions, and experimentation.

DETAILS:

This class meets every Sunday in January from 2-5 pm. The dates are 1/4, 1/11, 1/18, 1/25. The cost includes all 4 sessions, and sessions are not sold separately.

Club member cost: $100

Regular attendee cost: $140

This class will include the majority of the supplies needed. The exception will be any personal items that you would like to bring to incorporate into your Junk Journal.

There will be no Refunds after 12/25. Before that, you may request a refund in writing via email to [email protected].
