Join us in welcoming back to the Garden, Dr. Linda Chalker-Scott! Chalker-Scott holds a Ph.D. in Horticulture from Oregon State University and is an ISA certified arborist. She has recently retired from her position at Washington State University but remains a key contributor to The Garden Professors blog and Facebook page. Both are excellent sources for science-based answers to gardening dilemmas.
We’re delighted to present two talks on Sunday, October 5th.
Each workshop is $20 for members or $25 for non-members.
Register online at the links below or by calling the Garden office at (604)740-3969.
10 AM – MYTH BUSTING
Linda has made it her mission to expose garden knowledge to an evidence-based, scientific critique, in order to show what works, and what does not. She’ll share some of the common garden myths, how they originate, how they can be combated and what we can do to spot the difference between science, pseudoscience and plain old nonsense.
