About this Event
Join professional Tarot reader and teacher Laetitia Barbier for a fun and inviting introduction to Tarot during her Art of Tarot residency at ArtYard.
How does one read Tarot? If Tarot is often associated with fortune telling, the cards in themselves function like visual books. Through their iconography, character dynamics, and complex symbolism, they serve as catalysts to unlock and narrate compelling tales, allowing us to playfully reconnect with our imagination.
This workshop initiates with an exploration of the Major and Minor Arcana, elucidating the symbolism and archetypal imagery found within each card. Subsequent sessions involve hands-on activities, such as card-pulling exercises, to foster a tangible connection with the deck, and interactive discussions to deepen your interpretative skills. Guided readings and collaborative card analysis further your understanding of card relationships and reading coherence.
Workshop participants should bring a Tarot deck of choice. Barbier will have some additional decks on hand for those without a deck.
This workshop takes place in ArtYard's McDonnell Theater and is capped at 30 participants.
