About the Voices of Children
The Voices of Children Foundation has been helping children and families affected by war since 2015. The organization provides emergency psychological support to children and families from Kyiv to cities on the Eastern frontlines. The foundation is critical in helping Ukrainians cope with every day difficulties, providing treatment and rehabilitation tailored to individual needs and circumstances. With more than 60 psychologists, psychiatrists and psychotherapists, Voices of Children has one goal: not to leave a child alone with the experience of war.
Your donation will help a child attend a Summer Camp in Western Ukraine, in the beautiful Carpathian mountains. The program will include outdoor activities – trips, climbing, bicycle rides, and daily interactive work with teams of psychologists to learn practices of self support, mindfulness and emotional awareness. Art therapy work through music drama, drawing and leisure time will also be offered and tailored to each child's needs.
Voices of Children has been featured by BBC, CNN and others, as well as by celebrities such as Madonna and Oprah Winfrey. The organization played a vital role in filming the documentary A House Made of Splinters (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16377920/), about the everyday life of children in an orphanage close to the frontline. The film has shaken the world community and is nominated for an Oscar in the Best Feature Documentary category. The voices of Ukrainian children were heard around the world.
