Arden University Berlin with the support of CAPITALS Circle Group is cordially inviting you to its business forum "The future of Sustainability & ESG in the corporate world", which will take place on 11 October 2022, 17.30 - 20.30 CET at the Arden University Berlin Campus (Dessauerstr. 3-5, 10963 Berlin).

In the last years, Sustainability and ESG have not only become a high level compliance topic for EU based companies, banks and investors, but also an important pillar of the strategy of every company, organisation and academic institution. Sustainability contributes to more sustainable growth, better risk management and better knowledge transfer to prevent risks and to identify opportunities. Definitions

Event Organiser Arden University Limited, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 02450180, whose registered office is Arden House, Middlemarch Park, Coventry, CV3 4FJ, UK.

Partner Capitals Circles Group GmbH, incorporated and registered in Germany with Company Registration NR HRB 179252 B, whose registered office is Potsdamer Platz 1, 10785, Berlin, Germany.


Article 1: Scope of applicability

These General Terms and Conditions apply to the above-mentioned event – Business Forum (Business Forum: The future of Sustainability & ESG in the corporate world, 11.10.2022, Berlin, Arden University Campus powered by the Arden University Berlin with the support of CCG GmbH) hereinafter referred to as the ‘event’ and to all speakers, participants, suppliers of the above mentioned event. These terms and conditions are the terms and conditions of the event, and every event participant gives her/ his prior consent to these terms and conditions with the registration at this event and with the participation in this event.


Article: 2 Registration

a. Those wishing to participate in the event must register online via the registration online platform Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/) , on which the event will be published online from which after the registration, every participant will receive the event pass in the registered email. Therefore every participant accepts also and gives her/his consent to the terms and conditions of the Eventbrite platform too (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/l/legalterms/). The event will be published on the event platform Eventbrite and it will be always at the latest updated version.

b. It is recommended all participants to register online at the above-mentioned platform according to above mentioned process, but in case a participant will be informed about the event at the very last minute and will not have the technical possibility to register online via the Eventbrite platform (not even via her/his smart phone device), then will have the possibility to register at the event location at the event registration desk.

c. Registration in this event is completely free of charge and there is no cost at all related with it for the participants.


Article 3: Changes regarding this event


a. The event organiser has the right to relocate the event, change its date, its time frame, engage different speakers than those announced or change or adapt the event programme.


b. The event organiser will inform on time every registered participant and the published event on the event platform Eventbrite will be always at the latest updated version.


Article 4: Possibility for cancellation of participation by the participants


Every participant can cancel her/his participation at any time prior to the event or on the day of the event via the event platform Eventbrite at no cost.


Article 5: Limited Liability

The event organiser shall be held liable in the framework of a duty of care as a respectable and professional business according to German law and to common event organisation practices. The liability of the event organiser is limited to intent and gross negligence. Every participant takes part in this event at her/his own risk.



Article 6: Copyright

a. The event organiser has the copyrights for this event and for the event documentation online and offline (invitations, content of event on Eventbrite platform, online banners and rollups about the event, posts on social media about the event etc.).

b. Each speaker has the copyright and the liability for the content of her/his presentation that will present at the event. The Event organiser has no liability about the content of any presentations of the speakers.


Article 7: Image and audio recordings (Video, photographing)

All participants (speakers, participants, academic stuff, students, suppliers of the event etc.) in the event give with their registration in the event and with their participation in the event their prior consent that they can be recorded, photographed and these videos, photos can be published on the website of the organiser, on online media, on social media channels of the event organiser and of the supporting partner for communication and marketing purposes of the event.


Article 8: Data protection

All participants (speakers, participants, academic stuff, students, suppliers of the event etc.) in the event give with the registration in the event and with their participation in the event, that their personal data can be processed and archived by the event organiser, Arden University and the event supporting partner CCG GmbH for the purposes of the event registration process and the overall management of the event. The processing and archiving of the personal data will take place according to all provisions of GDPR and the relevant German DSGVO national law.

Both parties agree to comply with their own Privacy Policy. CCG GmbH’s Privacy Policy can be found at https://www.capitalscirclegroup.com/. Arden University’s Privacy Policy can be found at https://arden.ac.uk/privacy-policy.


Article 9: Covid-19 rules

At this event apply all relevant valid Covid-19 laws and rules, which will be valid in Germany on the date, at which the event will take place (11.10.2022 or any other date in case of change).


Article 10: House Rules

All participants and speakers must follow the guidelines and policies of the event organiser and even supporting partner for the time period, during which the event takes place.

Article 11: Confidentiality

Both parties undertake that they shall not at any time during the Term, and for a period of one year after termination or expiry disclose to any person any confidential information concerning the business affairs, customers, clients or suppliers of the other party, or of any member of the group of companies to which either party belongs.


Article 12: Compliance with relevant laws and policies

CCG GmbH shall provide the Services with reasonable care and skill and in compliance with all applicable German laws, regulations, codes and industry standards.


Article 13: Final provisions


Differing general terms and conditions than the above are ineffective and invalid.

For this event apply the German laws.

The place of jurisdiction for any potential disputes are in Berlin, Germany.
