Phase 1 of the Wichita Biomedical Campus is currently under construction. This joint project between Wichita State, the University of Kansas Medical Center, and WSU Tech is poised to anchor future development in this downtown biomedical corridor.
This presentation will summarize the building program and features as well as highlight the collaborative design process and impact on downtown Wichita.

Emily Patterson is in her 11th year in Facilities Planning at Wichita State University and currently serves as Executive Director overseeing architecture and engineering design and construction as well as property management for the university. Emily is a 1999 graduate in Architectural Engineering from the University of Kansas and before entering the realm of campus planning, worked in both architectural design and acoustic consulting in Wichita, Seattle, and Melbourne, Australia. Emily is leading campus initiatives in campus master planning, sustainability, space utilization, and deferred maintenance for 88 university buildings totaling 4.2 million gross square feet.
