About this Event
January 18, 2025 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
It is grant season! Join us and learn how to write grant proposals. This WILL NOT be another general overview of the grant writing process. Expect to get direct answers to your questions, and help writing grant proposals through practice and discussions. You will get assistance with the overall application process from start to finish.
The Fuel for Funding: Beginners Grant Writing Workshop is designed for individuals and organizations new to grant writing. This workshop is not your average grant writing workshop. Although there is a focus on grant writing techniques and guidelines, this workshop also puts a significant amount of focus on program design. Understanding program design will provide you with the tools to properly convey your plan to a granting agency; significantly improving your chance of being funded.
This basic, yet interactive workshop will discuss:
- grant readiness (actions and items you need under your belt)
- types of funding
- written communication
- the basics of program design
- managing information and data
- grant do's and don'ts
NCHEC Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) available
Certificate of Completion provided
Attendees may also want to consider (instant access), The Fuel for Funding: Beginner's Grant Writing Manual, before the workshop. It is also available in print (shipping times may vary) and on Kindle (instant access) . You may add a print copy to your ticket order, to be available on the event day and time.
Attendees will be provided: hands-on practice related to grant writing and program design; other basic grant-related information and exercises to reinforce the concepts learned. This will include writing activities, discussion, and the examination of a funded grant proposal.
Bring a notebook or notetaking device. Recording will be prohibited.
After the workshop attendees will have a better understanding of the grant writing process and can begin taking the necessary steps to design their program and getting funded.
IMPORTANT:
Tickets are nonrefundable unless cancelled by the event host. Should the event be canceled by us, you will receive an email with information on how to obtain a refund.
