With a mission to spread their gritty, funky sound worldwide, The Free Label is destined to throw the wildest parties imaginable. Their hit single, "Boys Don't Sob," was lauded as one of Spotify's best funk songs of 2022, and was followed by the Flip Fone EP in the summer of 2023. The Free Label has an impressive list of accolades, including the achievement of 1.3 million streams for their hit single "All Night." They've traveled extensively as an independent band, performing all across Canada and the United States, even making it past the border without issue. The band has graced the stage at SXSW and even performed for Richard Branson's birthday party, going so far as to break into his private suite to throw a party. Additionally, The Free Label has opened for T-Pain at the Calgary Stampede and recently received recognition in "Forbes" for their track "Sugar Momma." Their latest single, "Boys Don't Sob," has been featured on prime time radio all over Japan and caused a stir when it single-handedly shut down Interac money transfers for a day. The band's legendary live shows have included drinking 72 tequila shots on stage during a single set. The Free Label is currently on a world tour, visiting Canada, the USA, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

As their name suggests, Sunshine Makers create music that radiates warmth. The music resonates with themes of positivity and hope—with love, peace, and unity always at the forefront. With a beautiful bouquet of vocal arrangements, and the use of organic instrumentation alongside analog synthesizers, the sonic appeal is an amalgamation of modern and classic vibes with deep roots in R&B, funk, jazz, and neosoul. Sunshine Makers began in 2017 as a Toronto-based studio project led by Brent Jackson in partnership with producer Ben Fox. The project was rooted in collaboration, diversity, and creative freedom, that opened up opportunities to work and record with creative gems in the Toronto scene such as, Julien Barbagallo (Tame Impala), Odario Williams (Grand Analog), Aquakultre, Chester Hansen (BADBADNOTGOOD), Caitlin Woelfle-O’Brien (Blunt Chunks), keyboardist J3m Roberts, and saxophonist Dennis Passley (Arkells). In February 2023, Sunshine Makers released their first EP, A Side, with support from Flying Colours Records, La Mission (France), POPUP Records (Germany), and the Ontario Arts Council. Well received critically, EP singles “The Dream” and “Got to be Good” were also added to regular rotation on CBC radio, France’s FIP Radio, and to editorial streaming playlists; helping the band in its mission to connect, build community, and spread peace, love, and sunshine. They are preparing for the release of the second EP B side—and their first full-length album.
