Twin Cities-based Americana acts, Maygen & The Birdwatcher and The Foxgloves, bring their progressive folk-rock-country sound to the beautiful Sacred Heart Music Center altar stage for a shared one-time-only concert at 7 pm Saturday, April 19.The Foxgloves are an all-female group from Minneapolis that are a little bit country, a little bit folk, a little bit classical and whole lot of fun. Their high energy performances, heartfelt storytelling, four-part harmonies, and musical depth have swept them onto big stages throughout the region, including Blue Ox Music Festival, First Avenue Mainroom, and Big Top Chautauqua.
Maygen & The Birdwatcher adventurously blur the sounds of country, bluegrass, folk, and blues. Lead singers Maygen Lacey and Noah Neumann work to draw on their vastly different musical influences to deliver a fresh and unexpected mix of songs. From beauty to grit, sadness to silliness, the common thread is that this crew loves music.
