Are you ready to deepen your relationship with sound as a healing force? Are you seeking a grounded, technical, and experiential introduction to the power of the gong? Are you prepared to step into a training environment that blends musical skill with energetic awareness?

We invite you to join us for The Foundations of Gong Healing: A Level 1 Gong Practitioner Workshop on Saturday, March 7th at Enjoy Yoga in Costa Mesa. This immersive five-hour training has been thoughtfully designed for individuals who wish to learn how to work with gongs as therapeutic instruments, cultivating both technical confidence and intuitive connection.

This workshop serves as your doorway into the world of planetary gongs, offering direct access to over ten celestial-tuned planetary gongs, each holding its own resonance and energetic influence. Under the guidance of Kyle Lam, you will learn how to approach the gong not only as a mystical instrument, but as a refined musical medium capable of creating deeply restorative states of being.

During this workshop, you will:

• Learn foundational gong-playing techniques with a focus on control, tone, rhythm, and intentionality

• Explore how planetary frequencies influence emotional, physical, and energetic well-being

• Understand the role of the gong within meditation, sound therapy, and integrative healing practices

• Experience both giving and receiving gong-led relaxation sessions

• Participate in a private sound immersion to fully experience the depth of the instrument’s healing capacity

We will begin by exploring the history and lineage of the gong and then introduce each planetary gong through guided listening. From there, you will learn safe and effective playing techniques, develop sensitivity to tone and resonance, and practice performing short gong sessions in a supportive environment. This hands-on approach ensures that each participant builds both confidence and embodied understanding.

To preserve quality instruction and personal attention, this training is limited to 10 participants. Upon completion, students will have the option to receive a certificate of completion.

About Your Instructor

With over five years of experience leading hundreds of gong and sound healing immersions across Southern California, Kyle Lam brings a rare combination of musical training and intuitive skill. His classical music background allows him to emphasize tone, harmony, listening awareness, and emotional presence, helping students develop both technical mastery and heart-centered artistry in their gong practice.
