Hello readers! Join us as we discuss George Orwell's classic novel, 1984.This book, despite being written in 1949, is as relevant as ever. It paints a picture of a dystopian world of totalitarian states engaged in perpetual war, propaganda, and ubiquitous surveillance.
We'll be bringing snacks, and we will also be accepting gently used copies of books to share amongst the community for those that are interested, but readers aren't required to bring anything but their minds and their voices.
Although The Forbidden Book Club is open to readers of all ages and skill levels, this book is recommended for 9th grade to adult level readers, and does contain subject matter that could be potentially triggering to some.
