The Forbearant is an independent rock band from Houston, Tx that was founded in 2021 with Ben Distefano, Caleb Petticrew and Bri Slot. The writing process of their first release started in 2015 with the sudden and abrupt end of frontman Ben Distefano's budding career as a professional baseball player due to multiple injuries. After developing a case of insomnia long late night walks turned into writing sessions and writing sessions turned into songs. For several years an attempt was made to make an EP through bedroom recordings but eventually it was realized that a producer and proper studio were needed. After shopping demos around it ended up in the hands of Paul Moak. (The Civil Wars, Mathiew Mayfield, Bones Owens) Friends Bri Slot and Caleb Petticrew were brought on to help realize the full potential of the project. 2022 will mark the first active year for the band.
