My name is Amanda Dale-Lopez, and I’m a mom of four, wife, foodie, and advocate for Autism Awareness and Acceptance. I am the Vice President of WHSL (What Hoboken Sounds Like), an organization I co-founded with my husband, Victor. In my role, I help shape the vision and lead my division of Director of Creative Culinary Content — Inspired by my journey as a mother. Outside of WHSL, I am an advocate, using my platforms to celebrate the beauty of Autism and The ups and down of parent hood.
The Foodie Festival is a vibrant celebration of culinary creativity, bringing together food lovers, chefs, and local vendors to showcase diverse flavors and unique dishes—all in support of Autism Awareness and Acceptance. This family-friendly event features food trucks, food vendors, live music, and a book drive to support families within the community. With a mission to foster community connections and promote inclusivity, the festival highlights the importance of understanding and embracing neurodiversity while supporting local businesses and spreading the love of good food. I started The Foodie Festival as a way to combine two of my greatest passions: food and advocacy for Autism Awareness and Acceptance. As a mom to a child with autism, I understand the importance of creating spaces where diversity and inclusion are celebrated. This festival is my way of bringing the community together to not only enjoy incredible food but also to raise awareness about autism and foster understanding. By partnering with local businesses and showcasing the talents of chefs and vendors, I hope to build a platform that supports acceptance, inspires connection, and uplifts those in need, all while sharing the joy that food brings to our lives.
