The Florida All State Band
We have 23 Student Performers on stage and Terell Stafford as conductor/guest artist.The Band was selected after a blind audition process in September 2024. They had their first rehearsal and performance in a 3 day span as part of the All State Conference and Clinic held in Tampa, Fl. in January 2025. Terell Stafford was their conductor and guest clinician.
From the first rehearsal, we knew this would be a very special group eager to create swinging jazz and beautiful harmonies together. After 10 hours of rehearsal these members were ready to perform for a standing room only audience of over 2000 people. The student performers represent the best HS jazz musicians in Florida from 16 schools. These schools are from cities such as Tampa, Miami, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando and Titusville. We are excited and honored to have this opportunity to perform with Mr. Stafford once again as part of the Sarasota Jazz Festival!
