ROCKIN THE WICKERS is back again in August and it’s gonna be BIGGER THAN EVER!The Original Music Network and S&P Promotions proudly presents The Flash Bastard Experience and Mezzanine on FRIDAY 29th AUGUST.
One stage. Two sounds. Shabby rock meets shoegaze in a haze of grit and shimmer. Come for the fuzz, stay for the feels. There’ll be bowls, brews, and big hearted noise. Bring your friends, it’s gonna hit different.
THE FLASH BASTARD EXPERIENCE (aka The FBE or The Bastards) are a local Melbourne rock outfit, comprised of four guys with teenage hearts and a shabby dress sense. Knocking out a mix of catchy original rock with high-energy creativity, the boys will get you moving from the get go. Scott Kelty is the band’s songwriter, singer and lead guitarist and is joined by Luke Kelty on rhythm guitar, Sticks on bass, and Pete Ryan on drums. They’re masters of ragged rock and roll, which they serve up with a sense of fun and the occasional jump in the air. This event marks the official release of their debut album ’Teenage Heart’ which is available for purchase on the night in both vinyl and CD formats, along with some other cool merch.
Joining the FBE on stage and emerging from the intersection between nostalgia and distortion, Melbourne modern shoegaze band MEZZANINE brings a vortex of dreamscapes and immersion into their live performances. Rigby Gray’s swirling melodies blended with the cascading tones of Sam Haddon’s guitar and Jordan Bajinskis’ punk like drums invites listeners on a physical journey through memory, noise and reverie.

We have a full bar so NO BYO, but it’s old school bowlsie drink prices and FREE BOWLS for all ticket holders.
