Get ready for an evening with the finest IRON MAIDEN tribute band around, ION MAIDEN!Ion Maiden formed in August 2018: the original line up was built around the core of four ex-members of the best Maiden tribute bands in the UK. In early 2022 the band were honoured to be asked to open the “Birthplace of Iron Maiden” the Cart & Horses after its lengthy refurbishment, with support from Airforce, whose Drummer is none other than Doug Sampson ex Iron Maiden who featured on the original soundhouse tapes.
With the current line up taking everywhere by storm since March 2022, the band has gone from strength to strength, putting on some of the most authentic Maiden shows you’ll see. Ion Maiden have played in some amazing venues including playing the Maiden Aftershow party in Manchester June 2023, and 2 sold out in advance shows at the Cart & Horses: at the most recent show the band were joined onstage by former Iron Maiden Guitarist Terry Wapram.
It has been said that the only thing more Maiden than Ion Maiden, is Iron Maiden themselves.
Supporting Ion Maiden are New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) cult legends MORE. MORE first came to prominence during the early 1980s. Signed to ATLANTIC RECORDS, the band released two albums, ‘Warhead’ (1981) and ‘Blood & Thunder’ (1982); a 12″ single consisting of fan favourites ‘Atomic Rock’ and ‘We Are The Band’; and several singles, including ‘Trickster’ plus cover versions of ‘Fire’ and ‘Hey Joe’.
Now, in 2024, with a new album ready for release and further tours planned, MORE begins a new chapter in its illustrious history.
Also supporting are ETTECON, recently having released their soundtrack album for the upcoming feature length film: “The Miner’s Son”, this will be one of only a few shows planned from ETTECON performing the original Hard rock material from the film.
