About this Event
At the height of lockdown, amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic, Henry Brill formally retired his longstanding stage name John Joseph Brill. That retirement drew a close to a ten year journey of recording, releasing and touring, a journey worthy of a party but of course the conditions of the pandemic would not allow for such a thing. So it was a live stream, fans and old friends tuning in to request their favorite songs from his catalogue and hear stories (some debauched) of the adventures… and misadventures that occurred along the way. It was lovely but it didn’t feel quite right and so… as Nashville gently adjusts to the return of live music, it is a thrill to announce The Final Farewell of John Joseph Brill!
