UK Filmworks presents "The Filmmakers’ Meetup"! Calling all film enthusiasts, directors, producers, writers, crew members and actors to join us for a day filled with networking, discussions, and collaboration opportunities.
This event is your chance to connect with like-minded individuals in the industry, hear from our special guest speakers, and even win a £2500 prize for your creative idea. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this meetup is the perfect place to mingle, learn, and grow.
The filmmakers meetup will take place at the Archives, in tottenham, on th 15th of novembers.
Some of the things we have planned for you are:
- Masterclasses from industry professionals where you can learn skills and get first hand practical experience
- Stands with companies that are offering jobs and opportunities
- Pitching competition: We are offering the chance for 10 people to pitch their short film ideas and win up to £2500 to bring it to life.
- Meet and greets: you will get the chance to meet and greet some of your industry heros
- "Fire side chats" we will have a host and panel which will talk about some of the most interesting parts of the industry
- and many many more.
We will also be raising money and collecting items for Jamaica after the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa.
There will be so much value packed into this event, you will not want to miss it ! We have spent the last 3 years building a massive community and its time to meet you all!

Info: Flynn will be hosting a !st AC workshop where he will strip and build a camera, offer live tips and demos and also give 2 lucky trainees opportunities to jump on future jobs.

Info: WHAT THE WORKSHOP WILL INCLUDE:
- Get audition material to rehearse and perform live in front of the group.
- Receive professional feedback and direction, then perform your scene again.
- All performances will be filmed - footage provided for your portfolio or showreel.
- Learn how casting directors think - insight into what they look for in an audition room.
