SESSION OVERVIEWDrawing from unique experiences in animal conservation fundraising, Ed will delve into the ethical challenges fundraisers face in balancing mission integrity with donor demands. Through captivating stories from the zoo’s own “wild kingdom,” this session will explore the complexities of ethical decision-making in fundraising, including transparency, donor influence, and aligning actions with organizational values. This program will appeal to fundraisers, executive directors, professional advisors, and trustees.

Ed Sandifer serves as the Planned and Major Gifts Officer for the Indianapolis Zoo. Ed has served on the board of directors of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. He is a member and former president of the Charitable Gift Planners of Indiana, and he is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Indiana Chapter. Ed was named as a co-recipient of the Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Indiana Chapter, in 2024
