About this Event
Location: Room 1110, Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is happy to host Dr. Bipasha Baruah for this important International Women's Day presentation.
Women enjoy unprecedented economic and political power all over the world today, but continue to be disproportionately represented among the poor and precariously employed, among victims of gender-based violence, and among the politically marginalized and powerless. Dr. Baruah will help us make sense of these paradoxes in this talk on International Women's Day. We will also discuss how we might continue to organize and mobilize to address the persistent social, economic, and political inequalities women face everywhere in the world while simultaneously acknowledging and celebrating the progress that has been made.
Please let us know if you require any accommodations for this event. We look forward to seeing you there!
