Con Gioia Early Music Ensemble Celebrates the Feast of St. Cecilia (Patron Saint of Music), performing Handel’s Odes for St Cecilia, Bach’s arias from Cantatas, BWV 70, 82, 84, 108, 135, and 145 and newly rediscovered works by Mozart and Bach.
Performers include: Andrea Zamorodian, soprano ; John Buffet, baritone; Michael Jones, tenor; guest artists Marc Schachman, baroque oboes; Eva Lymenstull, baroque violoncello. Music for solo voices, strings, oboe and harpsichord will be performed by: west coast virtuosi Katherine (Katie) Kyme and Andrew McIntosh, Baroque violins; Lot Demeyer, Baroque oboes; Ellie Nishi, baroque viola; William Skeen, baroque violoncello; Denise Briesé, violone; Patrick Rogers, harpsichord continuo and Preethi de Silva, artistic director.
