Welcome to The Father's Heart Ministries 2024 Walkathon - Hearts in Motion! Join us on Saturday, November 2nd for our 4th annual walkathon. Let's lace up our sneakers and come together to put our hearts in motion! See you there!
NEXT STEPS....
1. Fill out the registration form here to choose your t-shirt size and which route you want to walk: 3.5 miles or 11 miles.
2 . Purchase a ticket which covers the cost of the t-shirt and a goody bag. If you're unable to afford the ticket, email us about the scholarship fund we have set up.
3 . Sign the event waiver here.
4 . Fundraise! Set up your own fundraising page so that friends and family can cheer you on, while providing hope for those who are currently experiencing hunger. Sign up here and begin your own fundraising!

Would you join us as we walk to bring awareness to the rising epidemic of food insecurity affecting our guests and in support of our programs? More New Yorkers than ever - about 1 in 9 adults and 1 in 6 children, or a combined 2.2 million - are facing food insecurity. Many of the guests we serve through our soup kitchen and food pantry at The Father’s Heart Ministries are seniors with fixed incomes. With the rising cost of food, they tell us they have been unable to keep up. Other guests have lost their jobs, and even with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or food stamps, many just don’t have enough food for themselves or their families without additional help.
But it’s not just food that our guests need. The Father’s Heart Ministries is a place where they receive love and compassion. We also offer weekly programs that enable our guests to move from dependency to hope, restoring their sense of self-worth and dignity.
Our programs include:
Soup Kitchen - a hot meal of fresh eggs & sides to-go
Food Pantry - groceries including fresh produce
ESL and GED tutoring every week
Men’s Transition Program - assistance/rehabilitation from homelessness & unemployment
Social Services Desk - our guests can come & find the resources they need
KidZone - enrichment activities for children, teens, and their parents
Alphabet Scoop - teen job training & employment program
