The Family Township, AKA Township, has been making their unique Boston-bred brand of vintage rock and roll for nearly 2 decades. With 7 studio albums, 2 live albums, 3 EPs, 2 double singles, and 1 collection, the band has never stopped progressing, evolving, and
perfecting. Initially known for their heavily mustached brand of driving rock, the band has steadily grown their sound and writing to reflect these days rather than “those days.” Their most recent album, 20th Century Wasters, and double single, Rosie Come Back /Autumn Bell, have earned the band some of the highest praise of their career. Live shows burn with energy,
heart, melody, and sweat, celebrating an ever-growing catalog, depth, and fanbase.

This record was mostly recorded in our basement studio, affectionally known as Tight Squeeze Studio, with pieces also done at Zippah Recording Studios, living rooms, and a model ship workshop. Thick Fuzz is a power trio, but this record wasn't restricted to live arrangements. Layered guitars and vocal harmonies thicken the sound. A ton of guest musicians join us on these songs; vocals galore, organ, harmonica, and horns - all making these songs the best versions of themselves.
