The Fall Gathering at the Moon-Randolph Homestead

This October 5th, join us for a harvest celebration and fundraiser at the Moon-Randolph Homestead. The Fall Gathering is an all-ages event featuring an outdoor autumn feast, with music, bonfires, beer, cider, and apple-pressing. Family friendly. This is our largest fundraiser of the year supporting efforts at the Moon-Randolph Homestead to preserve and celebrate Missoula’s human, ecological, and agricultural history.

EVENT DETAILS

FEAST: Get ready for German-style pork (or a vegan option!) served alongside potatoes and sauerkraut with apples. Is your mouth watering yet? We know we're in good hands with Chef Theo Smith from Masala. Salad greens from Trust Land Farm and Grist bread will round out this harvest meal. And don't forget dessert--it sure can be hard to choose between a Bernice's cookie or a Tandem donut!

DRINK: Taste the heritage apples fermented from our heritage orchard with a sip of the Homestead Cider. Did you know that all proceeds from cider and beer sales benefit the Homestead? Many thanks to Western Cider for crafting this small batch for the Homestead and for serving at the event!

MUSIC: Be sure to arrive early for our opener, Missoula's Lizzy & Katherine Cook, sisters with outstanding harmonies in the folk duo Lerch! We're thrilled to announce that Blue Point Bluegrass is headlining this year, specializing, "in traditional Bluegrass and Old Time music, as well as Folk and Americana with a modern twist. Our performances are wildly energetic and heartfelt and just might make you leave your seat to dance, or hold the ones you care about a little tighter."

TOUR: Arrive by 5:15pm to partake in a 45 minute walking tour of the site highlights with Caretaker Katie Nelson.
