Well.., It seems that there is nobody else who will confer ‘legendary’ status on us, so we’re forced to claim it for ourselves. Ergo ‘The Fabulous Moriarty Brothers!’
What qualities, you may wonder, might a mere musical act accrue to merit such wondrous praise.
Let’s see:
1) origins shrouded in the mists of time? CHECK
2) an extensive back catalogue of wonderful original songs? CHECK
3) a certain fuzziness around the edges. The phrase ‘rough diamonds’ comes to mind? CHECK
4) a style only available via the near telepathic harmonic compatibility of a blood relationship honed and refined over a thousand, thousand hours spent gigging together? CHECK CHECK
5) beards? You usually need beards. OH WELL.
6) a cult-like following? CHECK
