Award-winning author Chris Carosa will separate fact from fiction as he debunks popular myths surrounding the burger’s origins. Then John Menches, a descendant of Charles Menches, who, along with his brother Frank, is widely recognized for selling the first hamburg sandwich at the 1885 Erie County Fair in Hamburg, New York, will share family stories as well as the original hamburger recipe. Join us to celebrate the anniversary of the day that hamburger was sold as well as National Cheeseburger Day.
Chris Carosa is an award-winning author and an authority on the history of the hamburger. His meticulous research has unearthed fascinating insights into the origins and evolution of this iconic American food.
