Remember Me: Dementia in the African American Community is an award-winning feature documentary film that examines the impact dementia and the more than 100 causes are having on the Black community.

The film discusses:

  • What dementia is.
  • The different types/causes of dementia.
  • Risk factors.
  • The Black Church.
  • The History of Mistrust/Distrust of the medical community and government.
  • The impact on caregivers.
  • Medical advancements.
  • And much more.

Among the featured interviews include: Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr.; Nurse scientist Dr. Fayron Epps; Dementia expert and researcher Dr. Antoine Trammell; dementia family Steve and Danita Jefferson; Caregiver expert Sonya Gunter; dementia patient Jackie Collins-Riddick, caregiver Darlene Hannah; and many more.

The documentary is written, directed and produced by C. Nathaniel Brown for Expected End Entertainment. Narration by Tarai Alexander. Edited by Phillip Hendricks and C. Nathaniel Brown.

A Panel Discussion will follow the documentary to allow audience members to ask questions of dementia experts.
