The Experience - Intensive Program
Monday June 27 - Wednesday June 29th
Adults only
THE PROGRAM:
Students will have the following classes:
- Baile: They will learn basic steps to use while improvising in front of a crowd.
- Compas: Students will master the compas/beat so that they can dance with live musicians correctly.
- Teoria: Structure of each dance, where they come from and what's expected for each dance, will be taught in this class
- Foros: There will be time where dancers will be filmed while improvising so, that our teachers can coach them to improve.
- Tablao: Every day students will dance with live musicians at the end of each session to apply everything they have learned and to overcome scenic fear.
Students need to bring snack and a bottle of water every day.

Description:
A tablao is a place where flamenco shows are performed. Tablao venues were developed during the 1960s throughout Spain, and if you have been to Spain before, you know that it is there where you can find genuine flamenco dancing.
The difference between a performance in a tablao and one in a theater is that bailaoras (dancers) show their ability to improvise with live musicians where the performances in a theater have been previously rehearsed.
It is in tablaos where bailaoras show their mastery and authenticity, and THAT is what we call the duende.
With that in mind, we have created “THE EXPERIENCE”. A program where the tablao experience will be simulated in our studio to teach our students the ability to improvise in front of an audience with live musicians.
Besides the actual dance skills they will learn in the program, based on our studio mission Furia Flamenca focuses specially on the qualities your daughter will acquire which are very valuable for their life.
