Also perhaps a bird or two may enter the painting as well.
The message Kathi is expressing in these paintings is for humans to really notice the essence of trees, to appreciate the importance they play in the cycle of life. Trees are the carriers of memories, memories of the birds who build their homes and raise their young in them, or just visit and sit a while. Also the flowers feed the bees, and they provide shade for all types of creatures.

Kathi is a mixed media artist, transitioning from more realistic art towards semi abstract, intuitive art. Kathi has always been inspired by nature, especially trees and seedpods. During her recent 6 month road trip she spent time with some magnificent huge old trees, from Murray River Red Gums in NSW and South Australia, to Ghost Gums in the Northern Territory, through to enormous majestic fig trees back in Queensland.
