The Equestrian History of Long Island in the 19th and 20th Centuries, with Jerry & Rita Trapani. Saturday, August 24, 2024 – 1:00 PM. The presenters will take us on a trip back through time to learn about the racetracks, estates, parks, and horse shows that have made Long Island one of the most important equestrian venues in the world. Jerry & Rita are owners of Shadbelly Farm, life members of the Carriage Association of America, the American Driving Society, and the Four in Hand Club, and founding members of the 40-year-old Paumanok Driving Club of Long Island.
