We’ll begin by introducing the Enneagram’s foundations and introduce the three basic triads that comprise the system:

The Gut Triad (Types 8, 9, 1): How instinct shapes our relationships and spiritual lives.

The Heart Triad (Types 2, 3, 4): The role of emotion and identity in our quest for authenticity.

The Head Triad (Types 5, 6, 7): The interplay of intellect, fear, and trust on our faith journey.

From there, we will explore how the core insights resonate with the Christian call to conversion and transformation. Finally, we will look at how the Enneagram is relevant not only for individuals but also shows the path to collective change.

Michael Ceragioli, MA (Theology) is a scholar, educator, and author with a deep passion for exploring the intersections of depth psychology, spirituality, and theology. Currently a third-year PhD student, his academic research focuses on American pragmatism, contemporary spirituality, and the transformative power of human imagination.

Michael is the co-author of two significant works:

• Revisioning Spirituality: Human Transformation and the Communal Imagination (forthcoming, Paulist Press), written with Dr. John Markey.
• Sent Forth: A Handbook for a Missionary Church, co-authored with Fr. Ignacio Llorente, offering practical insights for living the mission of the Church in today’s world.
