The English Series: Session 3 - Developing Writing
During the third session of the English Series delegates will learn more about how children learn to write and how they can be supported in the classroom.
Delegates will learn about the 5 essential components for writing and then be taught how to diagnose and assess writing deficits. Time will then be spent exploring the role of teaching assistants and how children can be supported in order to move on with their writing development.
This session is suitable for all teaching assistants whether you are at the start of your career or have many years of experience. All delegates will spend the morning thinking about the children they work with and will take away something new.
