About this Event
Andreea Nistor is an 18 – years old young Romanian violinist who won a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London, starting in September 2023. She is currently a student at the George Enescu National High School of Music in Bucharest, working with professor Alexandra Acatincai, as well as benefitting from the guidance of Remus Azoitei, violin professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She began studying the violin at the age of 6, with Marius Lacraru.
Andreea is a prize-winner of several national and international competitions such as The National Olympics where she obtained the 3rd prize in 2019, 2nd prize in 2012. She won 1st prize at the International Contest “Rezonante Sonore,” in 2021. Over the years, Andreea performed recitals in Bucharest, Sibiu, Brasov, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Heidelberg, and she was kindly supported by the Composers and Musicians Union of Romania - UCIMR.
In 2021, Andreea was invited to play on one of George Enescu’ s violins as part of an open day concert at the George Enescu High School. She took part in several masterclasses with renowned professors and violin soloists such as Silvia Marcovici, Irina Muresanu, Ani Schnarch, Mark Messenger and Luminita Burca.
