The Encampment for Citizenship (EFC) was founded in 1946 by Ethical Culture Leader Algernon Black, as an opportunity for “young adults of many religious, racial, social and national backgrounds” to learn “the principles and techniques of citizenship … through lived experience.”Today The Encampment creates a multicultural democratic community where participants gain critical thinking and organizing skills and meet activists working for change locally and nationally. Learn more during our November 16 Platform at 11 a.m. with Anne Klaeysen.
