The Emotion Commotion Workshop, Social Emotional Reading Program for Kids.

The Social-Emotional Reading Program (SERP), led by Dr. Valerie Williams-Sanchez and Valorena Publishing, features the Cocoa Kids Collection® books.

This program offers a one-hour family literacy session aimed at developing social-emotional learning, life skills and literacy development activities for young readers aged 6-8.

You'll hear the story from the Cocoa Kids Collection book, Isaiah and the Chocolate Mountain, and have fun with "Emotion Commotion©" activities, including a pre-reading discussion, and instruction on COVID-related topics (such as healthy handwashing).

Narrative reinforcement through arts activities round out the family-friendly event.
