The Embodied Woman | A movement and sensory workshop for HER. This is a space for her to find pathways to presence through movement and stillness. Designed to inspire, empower and awaken her curiosity and joy, it invites her to connect with her Authentic Self and express through the vessel of her miraculous body.
The Embodied Woman is a recurring immersion with a specific theme each time. In every session we will explore and experience some fundamental concepts of Embodiment through the tools of yoga, somatics, breathwork, free movement, play and rest.
October theme: Yield to life
Guided by the wisdom of Autumn we will dip into the concept of Yielding, which is a fundamental concept of Embodiment that serves as a bridge, allowing us to identify as a separate entity without losing the connection to the whole.
It is the process of creating a balance between giving and receiving. It can define how we walk into a space, enter a conversation, and move in relationship to others and our environment. It is also how we move into and out of feelings. Yielding neither braces or hardens us into experience nor makes us give up.

About Shima:
Shima is a yoga facilitator, energyworker and a speaker with a passion to hold space - using her voice, presence, touch and the tools of asana + somatics.
In her sessions you are invited to move from a place of curiosity, playfulness, inquiry, deep listening and sensing, opening towards a different way of knowing and experiencing – an embodied and authentic way of being.
Education
Shima offers 15 years of yoga teaching experience and mindfully integrates her in-depth studies of various yoga traditions such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, pre- and postnatal and Body Mind Centering. She has studied with teachers such as Richard Freeman, Angela Farmer, Tara Judelle, Satu Tuomela and many more.
