It’s our not-to-be-missed Elvis Festival,join us for a celebration of all things Elvis
which is also one of the biggest and best
festivals outside of Memphis Tennessee.
Now in our 45th year the festival has
grown in popularity and legendary
status and is must for any Elvis fan!
So how do we ensure that we continue the
legacy of the greatest entertainer of all time?
Firstly, through his music with some of the top
bands in the country who have been influenced
by Elvis and his music, not ETA’s, after all there is,
and only ever was, one Elvis. Add to that, special
Elvis guests direct from the USA, Meet ‘n’ Greets
and Elvis book signings bringing you closer to
the man himself. Elvis fun… where do we start?
Jive and stroll lessons allowing you to confidently
dance the night away, competitions and quizzes
with great prizes as well as a programme of
sports activities. Let’s not forget Elvis fashion
and our week-long retro marketplace which will
keep you are looking your very best. And with
our fancy dress themed events we ensure the
fun never ends.
Our music line up this year includes The Jive
Aces, Cody Lee and the Boogie Boys, Alan Power
and the Aftershocks, Fisher Stevens as Neil
Diamond, Paul Ansell’s Number 9 and Tex and the
Troubadours to name just a few. And that’s not all
as we have live music party afternoons on many
of the days as well as a selection of the UK’s top
Elvis DJ’s ready to unleash the magic, providing
100% all-Elvis discos into the early hours.
Our special guests brought to you from the USA
include Bill Morris a legend in his hometown of
Memphis, Tennessee and within the Civil Rights
movement. Bill and Elvis were close friends
and associates, he became Elvis’ protector
and confidante through Elvis’ respect for law
enforcement. Bill was the Sheriff of Shelby
County, Tennessee, whilst Elvis was made a
Special Deputy Sheriff. Bill Morris also served
as Mayor of Memphis and was the driving force
behind the founding of the Elvis Presley Trauma
Centre, you will not want to miss meeting this
‘giant’ of a man in every sense. Another special
guest is Ann Moses and whilst Ann’s name may
not be instantly recognisable, her work will be
including editing and writing for the iconic Tiger
Beat and the New Musical Express. Ann was
present through many of Elvis’ career milestones,
indeed she was there at the ‘’68 Special, Elvis’
opening night at The International Las Vegas, on
the set of Elvis’ last movie and appears in That’s
The Way It Is. Ann’s stories take you back to the
halcyon days of great music and legendary rock
stars.
The Festival’s packed programme is full of Elvis
entertainment and fun and includes many of our
Elvis Family favourites such as the Sunday Elvis
Gospel Service with Reverend Derek Aldridge,
so popular it has become a tradition, TV themed
contests for you, your friends and family to
test your knowledge, Elvis big screen movie
showings and sing-alongs and music sessions,
featuring top Elvis tunes to get you up and
dancing, with plenty of live and rare tracks too.
We also have our 78 Jukebox Hour and a huge
merchandise and memorabilia market with a
plethora of Elvis collectibles.
Join in our charity auction for an opportunity
to purchase ‘money can’t buy’ Elvis rarities and
collectables and of course the last night ELVIS
