The Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-K*ll, The National Park Service, Oblong Books, and The Hyde Park Library are partnering to host the first annual Eleanor Roosevelt Children's Book Festival at the Val-K*ll historic site on July 20th. The event features authors whose works focus on human rights, social justice, and climate justice. We hope to bring together many families from all over the Hudson Valley for a day of learning, exploration, and fun.
The festival will feature:
- Author Meet & Greets.
- Readings and talks.
- A puppet show by Paper Heart Puppets.
- Arts & Crafts.
- Food Trucks.
- Reading with a Ranger.
- Junior Ranger Activities.
- Free Tours of Eleanor's Cottage.
- A special reading from Eleanor's Great-Granddaughter.

Please note that all on-site purchases will be CARD ONLY. Per National Parks Rules, our vendors (Oblong Books and the food trucks) are unable to accept any cash. This is a CASHLESS EVENT.
