About this Event
Customer discovery is one of the first steps in any venture and an ongoing process for gaining key insights. For this innovation partner highlight, the eHub is bringing in Dave Weiner, the Program Director of the UC Berkeley NSF I-Corps program, to discuss the importance of customer discovery when developing a venture and share about the different I-Corps programs students can take advantage of.
Join us for lunch and an informational session with Dave on March 10th from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. See you then!
offers a free remote 10 day market validation course based on Steve Blank's Lean Launchpad that teaches you to identify and refine your value propositions and customer segments and accelerate finding product-market fit. Outside of the three evening class sessions, you'll invest 30-35 hours conducting 20 interviews with potential customers as part of the customer discovery process.
NSF I-Corps is designed for teams with an early stage STEM technology innovation based startup or startup idea. Teams that complete I-Corps are three times more likely to be awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. Nearly 1,400 NSF I-Corps teams have launched startups which have cumulatively raised $3.2 billion in subsequent funding.
The next Berkeley NSF I-Corps course has sessions on April 14, 17, & 24 from 5-8pm PST. The application deadline is March 21. Learn more and apply at .
