Dreadnaught are a long-running Portsmouth, New Hampshire–based experimental/progressive rock band known for a shape-shifting blend of rock, jazz, and off-kilter compositional oddity—virtuosic, eclectic, and often wry in tone. Formed in 1996 (originally at the University of New Hampshire) and anchored by Bob Lord (bass), Rick Habib (drums), and Justin Walton (guitar), they’ve become a Seacoast institution, including a prominent run as the house band for The Music Hall’s “Writers on a New England Stage” series.
The Tercet are a Portsmouth, New Hampshire–based instrumental trio—Camden Riley (guitars/synths), Rob Littlefield (bass/electric upright), and Maxwell Elkus (drums)—known for tight, exploratory “instrumental prog rock” that moves between melodic hooks, odd-meter turns, and jam-forward dynamics. They’ve released self-produced EPs like E.R.L. I (2023) and E.R.L. II (2024), recorded and mixed by the band themselves.
